The Depot Wedding Photography - Billings, MT - Bri & Jack

Newlyweds on the wedding day always have the biggest smile!

How does this always happen???

How do the perfect clients always find us? I’ve talked to LOTS of wedding photographers about this and they all seem to agree, somehow our ideal clients are able to sift through all the media out there to find US. I’m not sure if it’s the messaging that we put out on our websites. The way we communicate value. Or, simply the photos we decide to share on social media or possibly a combination of all three. But it happens more than I deserve and I love it!!

Planning a wedding is a HUGE and complicated endeavor. You have to conceptualize what you want this day to be like ahead of time and then make a thousand decisions that bring you closer or farther from that original concept. Also, your family and friends probably have plenty of ideas of how your day should go and have been eager to give those ideas to you.

So how do you decide what to do and how to do it so that your day is as amazing as the vision in your head?

I have attended a LOT of weddings and have experienced many different ways of doing things. The weddings that stand out the most I believe keep two different ideas at their core. Firstly, all that matters at the end of the day is that you are married, everything else is just detail. Second, consider the traditions and use them as a guide, but make the day as personal as possible. If a tradition feels true to who you are together then do it! If it’s not your thing, change it or do something else.

It’s your wedding day. If you want breakfast for dinner because it’s a favorite, or floral Doc Martens to go with your black wedding dress, I encourage you to do it! Your wedding will turn out just as beautiful and unique as your love for each other!

Bri & Jack’s early spring wedding at The Depot, downtown Billings, turned out absolutely amazing! It was clear that a ton of thought and intention was put into everything and it had an abundance of personality and style at every turn. I just love that! From the hand-created custom arch made of old books, to the uplighting designed by Jack himself, plus custom rings!

Let’s take a look at the rest of the day!
