Wedding & Engagement Photography - South Central Montana & NW Wyoming

One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer in Montana & Wyoming is traveling and exploring amazing new places. Sure, Billings has lots of beauty of its own, but it’s close to some places that are CRAZY beautiful. Within a quick drive (by Montana standards at least) you can get past Red Lodge and up into the Beartooth Pass, or if you roll towards Bozeman, you can have your pick of Paradise Valley, Big Sky, or even hit Enis if you keep going. The thing about this is that you are basically just driving around Yellowstone National Park.

So why not also go the other way around??

If you go an hour south, you hit the Wyoming state line. I think it’s that imaginary line that stops a lot of people from exploring, or at least it used to stop me for some time. That was until I discovered that Wyoming is one of my FAVORITE places in the world to photograph!

The time I spend down in Wyoming truly is valued highly and the drive from Billings to Cody is always unique and beautiful. Every time you drive it, the mountains are incredible and the light is different, even if it’s multiple trips in a single day.

Needless to say, I’ve made many trips down to Wyoming for personal enjoyment. However, it’s the weddings, engagement sessions, and bridal shows I’ve attended that have revealed the most unique and beautiful spots.

One of my favorite weddings from last season took place just off the North Fork Hwy. The deeper I got into the mountains the more I was in AWE! I’ve wanted to go back and when I started looking for excuses to go explore more in the area everyone asked me if I’d been down the south fork yet. I hadn’t, yet, but was interested to see what the area was like.

That’s why when we were looking for locations for Mikayla & Kyles Session I knew just where to go exploring, down the South Fork!!

I hope you enjoy some views and share in some smiles!

Planning a wedding in 2023 and still looking for your photographer??

Unfortunately, I am completely booked for 2022 but the good news is I do still have plenty of available weekends in 2023 for weddings or engagement sessions. So if you are putting together a list of pros to help out on your special days be sure to set up your consultation ASAP!
